Functional Elegance In The Kitchen

For these clients, function was a necessity. With 3 boys, the kitchen is constantly in motion and the matriarch of the household is from Vietnam. Heavy, aromatic cooking requires a serious venting system and lots and lots of cabinet storage space for various sauces and spices. We created a plan to install a heavy duty custom venting system from Ventahood in all white to dissolve into upper white cabinets with glass fronts. This kept the kitchen from looking too top heavy.

From there, we moved to the lower cabinets. Our accent color is blue in the kitchen nook so we went with a complimenting grey that had a bit of warmth in it. Gorgeous natural veining in our backsplash is the focal point in the space and also what ties all of the hues together.

Love the runner? We will have it for purchase on our shop soon! This beauty has the texture of natural fiber but is very durable so it is ideal for a kitchen runner. Speaking of accents, the acrylic + brass CB2 hardware gave this kitchen just enough modern edge without becoming trendy. They feel good too and tactile is important in the kitchen!

A subtle kitchen pallet allows you to use accent colors in your kitchen and to exchange them through the years. Looking for high function in your kitchen? Start with a custom Ventahood system and go from there. We chose white with stainless steel, but the options really are endless. If you are in Dallas, they have a local showroom and are super helpful in explaining all of the important features. Time to cook!
