Tips From Noteworthy Projects

This past year has seen lots of unique clients with a style all their own. With the end of 2020 fastly approaching, we are gearing up for fall projects and would love to share some noteworthy Winston Interiors work with helpful tips. They may give you that idea you need to complete the kitchen, bath or living space of your dreams!

Noteworthy Project #1:

This nondescript room off the entry was transformed into the most lived in room in the house. We designed custom book shelves and storage cabinets with a custom built in study desk for 3 little ones. The clients are Greek and the room has a light and bright Scandinavian feel. We used sconce lights at the top of the shelves to give this built in an extra custom look.

Noteworthy Project #2:

This was one of the first Cambria installations we did on a wet bar backsplash and it’s stunning! Cambria has come out with several very dynamic, linear styles that are perfect as a statement piece. It is a great way to elevate your wet bar area in a simple way.

Noteworthy Project #3:

Floating cabinets. They might just be the ticket to give your master bath a mixture of new world and old world feel. In this super high tech bath, we used classic fixtures but blended them with a floating custom cabinet with lights underneath that shine down onto marble flooring. The unit is directly attached to the wall for a very clean look.

Noteworthy Project #4:

Linear drain in the shower. When you are using an intricate pattern, consider using a linear drain for a clean look. This one turned out so beautifully and really lets this Fireclay Tile shine uninterrupted.

Noteworthy Project #5:

Using pairing Cambria styles is a great way to create a statement in balance. We installed the dramatic Skara Brae on the island and we used the creamy white Whitehall on the perimeter of the kitchen. A statement style like Skara Brae can be used to tie in dark cabinets while offering a lot of white to brighten a kitchen.

Noteworthy Project #6:

In this master bath we used a very dynamic basketweave marble and pulled the grey and warm veining to design the rest of the space. We used variation of 2 colors through out giving it detail but keeping it calm since it is the first and last space you see in your day.

Noteworthy Project #7:

There are many tips to be taken from this project! The first being a proper Ventahood system. Did you know that you can go as custom as you want to go with Ventahood? They offer just about any color you can imagine. We chose white and flanked it with white cabinets so that the kitchen didn’t feel top heavy. We paired it with light grey lowers and gorgeous Cb2 acrylic and brass hardware.
